Announcements
Today we will have Church Homecoming and celebrate the 104th year of Fairview Baptist Church. Rev. Rick Safriet will be preaching, and we will have a Fellowship Meal after worship.
With Homecoming Service today, the Nominating Committee Report will be read & voted upon next Sunday, October 4th. The new church year will take effect on Sunday, October 11th.
This Wednesday, September 23rd - Fall Discipleship. Please note the schedule has changed slightly. Meal at 6:30 pm, meal cleanup at 7:00 pm, disperse to Classes at 7:15 pm. Once we are in our classes, we will begin with a special time of prayer. Adults will meet in the Sanctuary; Youth will meet in the Married and Adults Classroom. Adults will be studying “The Parables of Christ”, Youth will be studying “Christian Morality and Today’s Culture”, and Children will continue the Kids for Truth Curriculum.
Saturday, October 10th - Please sign up in the Lobby if you plan to go to the Apple Picking Fellowship Event at Perry Lowe’s Orchard on Saturday, October the 10th at 2:00pm. Please note that the church will be paying for general admission and one half bag of apples. Anything additional will need to be purchased by the individual. For any questions, see Ashleigh Sigmon or Cole Glass.
Saturday, October 31st - 1:00-3:00 pm. There will be a Community Fall Festival at East Alexander Park. Our Church will partner with Sulphur Springs Baptist & Hiddenite Baptist to provide this opportunity for our community. There will be a hot dog lunch for families, Bouncy Houses, Hay Rides, and Decorated Tables along the entryway sidewalk. Our Church has also been asked to lead the Bouncy Houses & the Hay Ride Stations. Anyone is welcome to decorate a table with their favorite treats. We will have a Brief Meeting on Sunday, October 25th to discuss this ministry opportunity.
